Peaceful South Sound has long been the choice for many long-term Cayman residents and it continues to be highly sought after as a desirable place to live. On the island’s southern shore, where the sea laps gently along narrow sandy beaches, many spacious, well-established single-family homes with extensive gardens share the area with upmarket condominium developments. Far quieter than Seven Mile Beach yet only five minutes from George Town by car, this area has a special charm all of its own.

Apart from residences located on South Sound Road itself, or on the waterfront, the community of South Sound includes a range of affordable choices a little farther away from the water. There are established neighbourhoods around Walkers Road, with both apartment complexes, townhomes and single-family homes.
